AIR BALLOON

A hot air balloon is a lighter-than-air aircraft consisting of a bag, called an envelope, which contains heated air. Suspended beneath is a gondola or wicker basket (in some long-distance or high-altitude balloons, a capsule), which carries passengers and a source of heat, in most cases an open flame caused by burning liquid propane. The heated air inside the envelope makes it buoyant, since it has a lower density than the colder air outside the envelope.

TRAIN

The first steam-powered locomotive was invented by Richard Trevithick in 1804. He demonstrated his locomotive, the Penydarren Tramway Engine, on February 21, 1804, in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.

BICYCLE

The bicycle was invented in 1817 by Karl von Drais, a German inventor. Drais's invention, called the Laufmaschine, was a two-wheeled vehicle that was propelled by the rider's feet. It had no pedals, so the rider had to push off the ground to move forward.

The Laufmaschine was a popular novelty in the early 1800s, but it was not until the 1860s that the bicycle began to evolve into the more familiar form that we

know today.

AIRCRAFT: On December 17, 1903, the Wright brothers made the first successful powered flight, using a heavier-than-air craft

Spaceship

Vostok 1 was the first manned flight into space. The spacecraft was launched on April 12, 1961, carrying Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.

It was the first time a person sailed beyond the atmosphere, and the first time a person was in orbit around the Earth.

On July 21, 1969, NASA managed to land the first man on the moon - Neil Armstrong.

Space Colony

based on existing plans and progress in space exploration, a realistic estimate for a viable space colony could be anywhere from 50 to 100 years in the future. Technological advancements and funding availability will play significant roles in determining the actual timeline.
